This here is the packaging design for my Christmas gift to Vienna Teng: A CD containing a song I wrote for her entitled 何時女神唱歌 (Heshi Nushen Chang Er) or "When a Goddess Sings".

Front: I drew a woman singing. I wanted it to be in the image of Vienna, so I gave her black hair with brown highlights, but I left her skin white and I covered her eyes because I wanted her to seem mysterious. I didn't want to completely give her an identity. I drew music notes flowing from her mouth in red and green and some gold squiggle thingie. I'm not sure why I colored it gold...the red and green notes are slightly Christmas influenced, since I wrote this song in December, but also because I thought of red as being the blood that is in living forms and the green of plants when they're alive and healthy.

Back: I was going to make the hand mysterious too but I coudln't figure out how...I decided I'd just color it in as my own hand, since I did everything with my hands, lol. The fingernail is pink to match the color of the cover woman's lips. They connect because they are being used. The mouth is being used as modes of transport for the voice and the hand is being used to create the music and the drawings ...it might not make sense to ya'll lol. There are golden feathers. I don't know why they're gold...I thought it might be pretty. I wasn't sure what to draw on the back but when I thought of a goddess, I wondered if she had wings or not and I had this lasting image of feathers. I drew things I used while creating this music. I thought it would look cool with the feathers floating around. I originally only meant to draw that one huge feather..b.ut I thought it would be too plain, so I drew the objects and then I drew more feathers. The hand came up last cuz I wanted to somehow fill that space in the bottom corner.

How about that fake barcode? XD I wanted to make this look somewhat professional, so I even put the CD in a plastic encasing, lol.
